The Buyer’s Responsibility
The buyer agrees to take good care of this dog, feed and house properly, maintain them up to date on shots. The dog’s outdoor area shall be safe and secure for the dog and everyone else. If the dog is found to be allowed to run freely and hence creating a public nuisance or found to be neglected, abused or allowed to live in poor health or conditions the Seller has all rights to repossession of this dog with no refund to Buyer. The death, injury or loss of said dog due to theft, carelessness, recklessness, abuse, neglect, heat stroke or accident will not entitle the Buyer to any compensation from the Seller.
This dog is guaranteed only for the purpose of being a companion animal, not for any other purpose or reasons. No guarantee is given to the Buyer for any special purpose or function of this dog. This dog is not to be used in any illegal or immoral activities and absolutely not to be used for any type of puppy mill, dog farm or any other mass producing operation.
In the event the Buyer can no longer keep this dog for any reason, the Buyer agrees to offer to the seller the first chance to take this dog back. Any changes to this contract must be in writing and signed by both parties. This contract is legal even if it is not notarized and may be enforced by legal means at the Buyers expense and all disputes must be settled in the current County in the state that Hidden Joys Homestead is based.
As the buyer, I agree to spy or neuter my dog between 6 months and 1 year old if bought with limited registration. The buyer then needs to provide proof to the seller that it has been done.

Hidden Joys Homestead Puppy Guarantee
The seller certifies that upon receipt, the dog is in good health and has been immunized and wormed according to the accompanying health record of said Labrador. This dog has the following conditions now none ____. Above listed conditions are excluded from any guarantee and are not valid to reject the puppy due to these conditions.

These guarantees apply to puppies that were purchased at normal prices and for which full payment has been received with signed contract. Improperly-handled payments on the part of the buyer and puppies sold at discounted prices do not qualify for this guarantee.

ALL DOGS bred and sold by Hidden Joys Homestead are under veterinary supervision. Puppies are given preventative medicines at prescribed intervals to treat and prevent issues such as worms, kennel cough, skin/ear pests, giardhia, etc. They also receive their first vaccinations before leaving us and will be kept UTD according to age.
ALL DOGS BRED AND SOLD BY Hidden Joys Homestead WILL BE REPRESENTED AND EVALUATED AS ACCURATELY AS POSSIBLE AT TIME OF SALE. Our puppies are checked for hernias, tooth/jaw correctness, eye problems, joint problems, and other normal issues that can be observed in a small puppy around 6 to 7 weeks of age. All breeds of dogs can have health situations found within the breed. Our dogs have been selected not just for dispositions, but also for health and conformation, so we do not expect to find health problems in the puppies. Should one occur, however, we will not hide it!
Short-term health: Buyers have 3 days from the time of purchase/exchange of hands to have the puppy inspected by a licensed veterinarian (at buyer's expense). If a puppy is determined to have an unacceptable health problem by the buyer's veterinarian in that time frame that will significantly affect its long-term quality of life (not including illnesses/conditions such as colds, viruses, retained testicles, mange, coccidiosis, worms, etc.), and which is confirmed by the seller's veterinarian, the buyer may return the puppy at the buyer's expense. In the event of a puppy death in this time, a veterinary report from the veterinarian treating/examining the puppy must be submitted to our veterinarian for inspection. A new puppy of the same gender and approximate price will be arranged if determined by veterinarians that it was no fault of the buyers. We will not accept responsibility for any harm that comes to the dog once in your possession such as accidents, electrocution, heat related conditions or any other related actions. Seller does not accept responsibility for contagious diseases diagnosed after 3 days from the date of possession.
No refunds/reimbursements for travel costs or health care are offered.

Long-term health: Our dogs are all healthy and free of genetic health problems. However, if a puppy develops a genetic health problem within two years of its birth that significantly and negatively affects its long-term quality of life (such as hip dysplasia, with a below borderline rating), diagnosed by the buyer's licensed veterinarian within two years of age and that is confirmed with the seller's veterinarian, we want to resolve the issue with you. If both veterinarians agree that the condition was genetic, we will offer you a replacement puppy of similar price and gender. Buyer would be responsible for travel and veterinary costs. Buyer is to notify seller within 48 hours of any genetic health problem being found. Please note that although we do not foresee any issues, with full registration puppies, any reproductive health problems with any of our k-9’s is not guaranteed in anyway.

Any medicating or care of any kind that the buyer provides the puppy will be at the buyer's expense. The buyer may choose to provide medical care or to euthanize a critically ill puppy. Hidden Joys Farm will not reimburse for medical care.

Replacement puppies are only given for puppies determined to have an unsoundness / unhealthiness that will significantly affect its quality of life that was not preventable, and agreed upon by both buyer's and seller's veterinarians. Buyer would pay travel and all veterinary costs. Injuries received or preventable illnesses occurring in puppies after leaving Hidden Joys Homestead do not apply to this guarantee.

We do not offer a cash refund, however we will offer a replacement puppy, as we stand by the health of our animals. We will NOT require you to return your puppy under this guarantee, as they have been able to bond with you and your family. We will work with the buyer, if a replacement puppy is needed, to determine when they want a replacement puppy.
Puppies offered for sale at a reduced price or those given away for free due to a defect are rare. In the event that we have this occur, those puppies are offered "as is," without any guarantee. We will not replace a puppy with another puppy if the original puppy was free or priced was reduced, for example.

Our puppies will be de-wormed, and will have received vaccinations at about five to seven weeks of age while in our care, and it will be up to the new owner to continue its health program. Until this series of inoculations has been completed at about 16 weeks of age, the puppy should not be exposed to premises known to be or suspected of being contaminated, or to unhealthy animals. Ask your vet for the recommended health care regimen for your geographic location.
Color: We try to predict puppy color accurately, but with some colors, it is difficult to be 100% correct while puppies are young. We do not guarantee that the color we predict will be correct at the puppy's maturity, and offer no refunds if the color is not correct.

Size: We try to predict puppy size accurately, but it is difficult to be 100% correct while puppies are young. We do not guarantee that the size we predict will be correct at the puppy's maturity, and offer no refunds if the size is not correct. Final size can be affected by gender and nutrition as well as genetics.

Legal Notes: All puppies/dogs purchased from Hidden Joys Homestead will be considered sold in __Ashland_______ County, __Ohio__________ regardless of the location of the buyer. Therefore, the transaction location is _Ashland_______ County, ____Ohio___________. All disputes will be settled in the breeders’ current county and state of business.
This is the entire agreement between the parties and is valid and agreed to by all parties. All parties have read and understood and agreed to this contract in full by signing below. If parties chose to use electronic signatures they are under the understanding that this is still a valid agreement.
